About Research at Nootan college of Nursing

Reputation of any Educational Institution depends on scholarship, research productivity and innovation. The success of a college in attaining its objectives is greatly contingent upon the alignment of the faculty with all the aspects of research initiatives. Therefore, the present research policy aims to help Nootan College of nursing and it’s faculties to achieve excellence and contribute to various organizations and the society. A mandatory minimum research requirement structure is currently being identified for implementation alongside an incentive structure for all stakeholders to carry out excellent research in their respective fields.
The purpose of the Research Policy is to create a vibrant atmosphere of research among faculty and researchers in Nootan College of nursing. The policy shall serve as an overall framework within which research activities may be carried out. Building and consolidating on college’s research competence is one of the top priorities of the University.

Objectives of Research at Nootan College of nursing

⦁ To cultivate, promote and strengthen research activities and foster a research culture and supporting environment through research framework and guidelines.
⦁ To plan, co-ordinate, supervise research activities in university and all its constituent institutions.
⦁ To raise funds for research activities in university and all its constituent institutions.
⦁ Ensure publications in quality journals, indexed in Scopus/Web of Science and/or with impact factor.
⦁ To nurture an environment of undertaking socially useful research with potential for commercialization.
⦁ Encourage interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships nationally and globally.

About the Research Council

The research council at Nootan College of nursing is one which understands and gives research the due importance it deserves. The main aim of the research council is to cultivate, promote and strengthen research activities and foster a research culture by providing a supportive environment through adequate research framework and guidelines. The research council is responsible to plan, co-ordinate and supervise research activities in the university and all its constituent institutions.
